Shradham is the annual ritual that grants a demised individual sufficient energy to accomplish all of their pending, unfulfilled desires in their subsequent life. Shradham is conducted based on the Nakshatram (star sign) of the deceased.
A person’s form and the action he/she performs is determined by their Sankalpam (desire). Every sankalpam requires that the subject is granted with sufficient Uurjyam (energy) to realize and fulfill their desire. Moksham (spiritual liberation) is only attained once a person has fulfilled all of one’s desires.
