april 2023 krishnaarchana 33 The Guruvayurappan temple of Brampton will be organizing collection for the Sai Dham food bank from the 1st of April to the 1st of May, 2023 in connection with Vishu/ Baisakhi . Vishu/Baisakhi is a time of great celebration and joy for our community and during this time let us try to provide some assistance to those who are in need. Studies have shown that pandemic has made food insecurity worse and a large section of our seniors and children are facing food shortage on a regular basis. International students who have arrived from different countries are often facing challenges of various kinds. Housing crisis has also reached extreme proportions especially because of the recent increase in lay-offs from all sectors. Sanatana Dharma talks of “ Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam” which means the whole world is our family. Let us all try to assist our local community by donating to the best of our ability in terms of non perishable food items. Collection boxes will be at the entrance of GTOB and all proceeds go to Sai Dham food bank. A gentle request to only drop off Vegetarian items in the boxes at GTOB.
